New comic! Just a two pager (actually, it's intended to just be one sheet of paper, front and back), but I like how it turned out. It's going to be my new comic for the gumball machine that my friends and I take around to conventions whenever we can. You may have seen it if you attended SPX, FLUKE, or TCAF. This comic will make it's debut at this year's SPX! Read it here!

I finally put up that new illustration! Like the last one, it was an ink sketch that I decided to finish in photoshop. The interesting thing about it is that I inked it using a sculpting tool. It's like this needle with a ball on the tip, so the ink would collect and let out a blobby splatter sort of effect every time I put it down. Here it is!

In other news, I'm about to finish penciling the first 15 pages of The Ride Home. That's the longest consecutive pages in a story I've done yet! And this story requires some more complicated drawing than I usually do, so it's taking a bit longer than usual. Of course, there's many, many more pages to come, but the first 15 are significant, because I plan on collecting these into a mini by SPX this year. I'll probably put a few pages online as well.

As a last piece of info, my Sebastian Sinndieb story has been collected in an anthology put together at SCAD, titled Senses. And Top Shelf is going to be distributing it in September! The anthology features some of SCAD's best artists, like Eleanor Davis, David Yoder, and Adam Aylard! Here's where it's available through their website!

Hello! First of all, I've set up a livejournal account. I plan on updating that with whatever news I post here. Check it out and say "hi" if you've got one too!

(EDIT: I realized that it might help if I gave a username or link or something, ha ha. Here's my livejournal.)

Also, guess what I did this 4th of July...I went to South of the Border! No, I didn't go to Mexico...I didn't even go south actually, I went up to South Carolina, and discovered a mysterious and magical land...I have a huge report on it here. Watch out, there's tons of photos, so it may take a while to load, but believe me it's worth it.
