Hey, look! I did an illustration for the Secret Friend Society's 1 Year Anniversary! Kean outstretched an invitation for cartoonists to draw themselves with their own "secret friends" rather than just doing some Jellaby or Salamander Dream fanart. My piece is somewhat based on fact, strangely enough. I don't actually recall any imaginary friends, but I collected some of my other secret personas that I had, equiped with a velcrow cape. Okay...you got me...some of it is made up...I don't think I ever imagined myself as "Super T-Rex."

Welcome to February! It's been a while since I've updated, but I have been busy! Need proof? Check my livejournal to see what I've been up to!

Or, if you would rather not, I've got a massive illustration update for you! Check out the Art & Stories section to see three new pieces!

The first is a colored version of the cover to my mini Tales of Unusual Circumstance, which is still available for order. See it here!

Next, is a Batgirl illustration from a few weeks ago when the internet was all abuzz with what I call "Batgirl madness." It was a spontaneous "meme" of artists (mostly on livejournal) drawing their versions of Batgirl!

The last illustration is actually a birthday present for my pal, David Yoder. After checking my illustration out, you should head over to his site and see some awesome comics and art and stuff!

Oh, but that's not all the news I've got to offer! Later this month, Image Comics is releasing Put the Book Back on the Shelf: A Belle & Sebastian Anthology, which includes a 6 page full color adaptation of "Legal Man" by me! This book is going to be good. There's an impressive lineup with artists like Tom Hart, Leela Corman, quite a few FLIGHT folks, and tons more talented artists and writers! Aw, heck, here's the first page:

So, check back later this month, and I'll keep you posted on the release of that. Until then, it is available for preorder on amazon.com!

As usual, I added a Jan. '06 page to the Archives. Not much activity last month, but you might want to check it out and see if you missed anything...

And remember, The Ride Home is still being serialized online! You can read 3 new pages every week at http://www.tragic-planet.com/theridehome !

That's it for now!
