I uploaded some more images of "As Seen From Above," and made it its own little page under Art & Stories. Check it out for a few more peeks at the awesome album design by the people at 12rec, using the images from my short story, "Flight" (not to be confused with the anthology FLIGHT, in which my work will appear this summer, but that I was unaware of when I wrote the story...)

Also, I did a little site work...adding some (hopefully) more handy toolbars on the sides, and rearranged my Links a bit. While we're on the subject of links...everyone who hasn't already should check out the awesome new sites by Kyle Kershner and Wook-Jin "Hunter" Clark!

And here's what Image has to say:

With their infectious brand of Scottish indie pop, Belle and Sebastian have been cult and critical favorites for years. The band’s colorful lyrics and gorgeous, full-bodied melodies have provided Image Comics with the inspiration for a new kind of comics anthology.

With PUT THE BOOK BACK ON THE SHELF, a stellar collection of independent comic creators and cartoonists put their own spins on a cross section of Belle and Sebastian’s songs, crafting stories inspired by the band’s music, drawn from the band’s entire catalog. PUT THE BOOK BACK ON THE SHELF debuts just in time for Belle & Sebastian’s latest release and provides the perfect compliment to your listening pleasure.

144 pg - FC - $19.99

It's out NOW! So run on down to your local comics shop or to your local amazon.com and buy it! My life depends on it!! (oh, and you might enjoy some good comics based off of a great band's music...)

Also released is El Senor Ciuf Ciuf's new album, "As Seen From Above" which features art from my piece titled "Flight" that was in the 2004 SPX Anthology, as well as the mini comic Zoomorphic Funnies. The graphic design was all done by Sven Swift of 12rec.net, the German label that released this Italian artist's album. Although Sven mostly used my existing art, I did do a new logo for the album. Also, each cd comes with 4 card inserts that feature the reformatted story, and I did new page borders for these cards. The album is available to listen or order! So check it out!
