JOEY'S NEWS

I've been hard at work on The Ride Home! In fact, I've recently decided to publicly share my progress on my LiveJournal! I've started posting starting with pages 16-24, right where TRH #1 ends off, but I've included a short summary of what has happened in the first TRH post. I work 3 pages at a time, so I'll be uploading them at that rate, probably about once a week. I don't plan on archiving these pages on my site, except for short previews for each mini, so if you're interested in seeing how it's going, check it out!

JOEY'S NEWS

Welcome to October! Well, SPX was great, things are going well. So, lets get to the updates! It's a big'n!

First of all, as usual for the first post of the month, I updated the archives, creating a Sept. '05 archive.

Second, I'm happy to announce that The Ride Home #1 is now available for order! I've added it to the Artist page, amongst my other minis that are available. I should note that I've printed my final Unremarkable Tree Frog minis. There's probably about 80 left, so keep that in mind, if you were wanting one! Also, I've added Lou Season #2 under my available minis. Lou Season is a comic by David Yoder. I inked #1, but David finished #2 by himself. It's a 2 part series, so if you have or want #1, I would highly recommend having #2 to finish the story!

Speaking of Tree Frog, Ryan Estrada, master of the 24 Hour Comic, has just finished a new 24 Hour Comic! It stars M.O.D.O.K. and is incredibly funny. Anyway, the first page has a guest appearance by none other than The Unremarkable Tree Frog!! Check it out here!

In other news, I've updated my links page a bit. I'm very excited to say I've added my friend Chris Wright's new site Godbuckle.com! He's been working on it for a long time, and it's great to see it finally up! Woo! Also, I've added this year's Ignatz Winner for Best Mini Comic, and all around awesome guy, Alec Longstreth's Alec-Longstreth.com! I've also added a friend of mine from way back in High School, who I was reunited with through FLIGHT, Matt(hew) Woodson's ghostco, and an awesome Mini Comics blog by Past the Front Racks' Shawn Hoke called SIZE MATTERS, and Tom Waits For No Man, a Tom Waits blog that mentioned my Black Rider comic a while ago!

Also, concerning links, Eleanor updated her Doing Fine site, totally changing everything, adding all sorts of awesome content!

So, that's it for me. No comics or illustration updates, unfortunately. I'm plugging away at The Ride Home. TRH #2 should be out in April at the latest, in time for FLUKE. That's a bit of a wait, but I'm planning on it being at least twice the size of the first one...probably around 30 pages. With any hope I'll be farther along by then, and maybe even a #3 will debut!

MICHELE'S NEWS

Michele's News page is down for the moment, so until I make her a new one, her updates will be available through my site.

Michele has added Chris Wright's Godbuckle.com to her Links as well. We both highly recommend Chris's comics!

Also, a new illustration is up in the Art section! It can be viewed here!

Lastly, Michele's upcoming gallery has been named "Panic at the Bistro," and I've updated the information about that here!
